Rock would challenge a current generation. Everything was questioned, particularly authority in the wake of the rising problem in Vietnam and the realization that the culture was not fair to nonwhites. It was tumultuous time and while teens who listened to rock music would explore new possibilities, rock and roll itself would be a ttacked.
